Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Stellar structure, nucleosynthesis, nuclear burning phases, energy transport in stars, chemical evolution of stars, late stages of stellar evolution, astroseismology, stellar atmospheres, stellar winds, stellar magnetic fields; practical exercises with the MESA code.

Assessment and permitted materials

Two written exams about the lecturing part plus participation in the exercises

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Teilnahme an den Tests und am Übungsteil als Mindestanforderung, mindestens 50% der Gesamtleistung für positive Beurteilung.

Examination topics
