Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Radioastronomical observations at (sub-)millimeter wavelengths have revolutionised the study of the Interstellar Medium (ISM). Using a series of classical papers, in this seminar we will introduce key concepts in radioastronomy as well as discuss some basic radioastronomical techniques to characterize the physical properties of the ISM. This seminar will be held in English.
Assessment and permitted materials
During this course, each student will be assigned to a key paper(s) selected by their relevance in the field. With the assistance of the lecturer, the students will have the opportunity to investigate the references, results, and implications of this research. Each student will show their findings in an oral presentation followed by an open discussion and questions with the rest of the class.
Participants will be graded according to the quality of their presentation, the clarity of the concepts explained there, as well as their active participation in other discussions and talks.
