Aims, contents and method of the course

The goal of these field-trips is to learn where to search for various kinds of plant fossils and to gain experience in the diverse techniques available for their extraction from a variety of sediments in order to yield a maximum amount of information, the position of the fossils in the stratigraphic sequence requires to be registered and the type of sedimentary regime identified.
