Aims, contents and method of the course

The objective of this course is to learn how to find, gather, analyze and process the geo data for different applications in geographic information sciences. The theory and methods will direct attention to the following topics:
1. Where to find free geodata
2. Big data – principles and aspects
3. How to create atlases for school
5. Augmented reality in maps creation
6. Geo science in educational centers
7. Mushup mapping
8. Certificates for geo visualization
9 Geosciences for EWCM

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be done by the development of a topic on a complex issue, including knowledge of several topics.
Permitted materials – Lectures presentation and recommended literatures / links in the slides

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Development of a topic on the base of several learned ones. The students should show that can combine different knowledge for describing and finding decision for a certain problem

Examination topics

The represented Methods of Geographic Information Science during the lectures could be combined for a finding a problem decision
