Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course will be held outside Vienna and will last four days. The main objective of this course is focused on confronting the students with the basic needs which have to be taken into consideration when planning a teaching unit in "geography and economics". The teaching process follows the principles of action oriented learning. This concept should enable the students to achieve all the necessary qualifications to develop adequate teaching units socially as well as regarding the quality of contents. The accomplished teaching unit will serve as the basis for developing individual teaching experiences. These experiences will first be acquired in the forthcoming semester and will certainly be influenced by the quality of the planned unit. The students will work in groups of three or four to emphasize their team-teaching abilities and to support a fruitful and permanent exchange of information.
