Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to understand, interpret and present current discourses on theories, models and hypotheses in economics.
Contents are concrete topics, see below.
A seminar paper on one of the topics shall be written by one participant (or by two participants together, dependent on the whole number of participants of the course) and a Power Point Presentation be made. In the first lesson at March 7th 2025, an introduction is given and topics/dates for presentation will be determined to participants.

Assessment and permitted materials

Central is the writing of a seminar paper, which should be structured as follows:
• Elaboration of the topical question
• Historical background of the question
• Methods of Operationalization
• Evidence and opposites, discourses
• Summary
The work is to be composed and presented by one or two participants. The joint presentation shall last about 25-40 minutes.
The work is to be delivered until a certain date.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Anwesenheit an den angebotenen Terminen (max 2 Fehlstunden, 1. Einheit verpflichtend)
Präsentation, schriftliche Arbeit, aktive Mitarbeit :

Benotung: Präsentation: ca 30 Minuten (35%), Aktive Mitarbeit (25%), Schriftliche Einzel-Abschlussarbeit: bis 27.6., Abgabe der Disposition/Gliederung 2 Wochen nach Präsentation (40%)

Recherchieren Ausgewählter Artikel zur EU-wirtschafts-und Sozialpolitik;

Erstellung einer schriftlichen Arbeit und Präsentation
