Aims, contents and method of the course

Students should develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of money in economic and personal life. They should be able to make conscious and informed financial decisions to promote their own financial well-being. Students should be able to apply various financial concepts and tools to plan their own financial future and manage potential risks. They should be able to teach financial education and economic topics in the classroom in an understandable and practical way.

Assessment and permitted materials

The seminar is an examination-based course in which oral and written contributions are assessed. Specifically, the assessment consists of written essays on the main topics of the course, a final exam and continuous participation and contributions in discussions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance in accordance with the regulations for courses with continuous assessment.

Assessment scheme:
45% essays (9x 5 points each)
35% exam
20% participation & discussion contributions

Grading scale:
From 50%: Sufficient
From 62.5%: Satisfactory
From 75%: Good
From 87.5%: Very good
