Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The objective of the course is to develop an understanding of technological, organizational and human components of SDI, the role of SDI in information/knowledge-based societies, the importance and relations with cartography and geo-informatics, and its role in (possibly) better global, regional and local policies. The potential of SDI for a spatially enabled society, SDI and other GI projects (global-Digital Earth, EU, etc.) will be discussed as well.
