Aims, contents and method of the course

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The lecture is a course for non-economists, in particular for students of geography. The aim is to introduce the main topics of economics. Participants of the course will be able to understand microeconomic behaviour and they will also have basic knowledge of macroeconomic problems (such as unemployment or inflation) and their remedies.
Examination topics
The lecture will be supported by powerpoint, the files are being submitted to the students via internet. Caution: the powerpoint files do not provide a full account of the whole lecture. They are ment to be a support the notes, which are essential for successful exminations.
