Where ends Europe? It is not the intention of this cours to answer this question, but it might help to explain why delimitations are hard to find. The concept does not focus on the borders and clear defined spaces of but on the crossing of its frontiers and networks. It is the aim to describe and analyse those variable networks that constitute Europe; four focal points have been defined: networks of migration and functional links of border towns (winter term); networks of knowledge and European institutions as well as firm networks (summer term).Programme
