Aims, contents and method of the course
This course focuses on the Transformation of Vienna's gründerzeitlichen building stock. Based on a survey in, recent real estate projects will be identified and analysed (e.g. Transformation and Gentrification). The intention of this course is to combine actor-oriented methods and analyses of the public space/ground floor.Aim of the course: application of different methods to analyse the transformation on urban housing markets

Aims, contents and method of the course
Inhalt: Diese Übung fokussiert auf Transformationsprozesse im gründerzeitlichen Baubestand Wiens. Mittels einer eigenständig durchgeführten Erhebung sollen die Veränderungen (insbes. Gentrifizierungs- und Verdrängungsprozesse) in ausgewählten Grätzeln in Wien untersucht werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei einerseits die immobilienwirtschaftlichen Akteure (Investoren, Developer, Bauträger), andererseits die sozialräumlichen Veränderungen in den Grätzeln.Ziele: Studierende sollen in der Lage sein, unterschiedliche Methoden zur Analyse der Veränderungen am Wohnungsmarkt anzuwenden.
