Aims, contents and method of the course
The proseminar will deal with the basic structures of politics and political systems in South-East Asia, their development since World War II and current development trends.

Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, Einblick in grundlegende Strukturelemente der politischen Systeme Südostasiens, ihre Veränderung seit Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts und ihre aktuellen Entwicklungstendenzen zu vermitteln. In den einzelnen Proseminarsitzungen werden die jeweiligen Themen anhand einschlägiger Literatur bearbeitet. Die Aufbereitung der einzelnen Thematiken erfolgt in Form von Einzel- und/oder Gruppenreferaten mit anschließender Diskussion und setzt eine aktive Teilnahme an der Lehrveranstaltung voraus.
