Aims, contents and method of the course

Participants get to know the most important scientific principles of Global Change and Sustainability. The content of the lecture comprises:
- History of ideas, fundamental concepts, systematizations
- Spatial perspective – Space, place, scales, networks
- Theoretical perspectives from physio-geography
- Theoretical perspectives from human-geography
- Environment and Sustainability, Economy and Sustainability, Society and Sustainability
- Focus & synthesis in Earth Surface Dynamics, Wetlands, Socio-Economic Dynamics, Migration and Population Dynamics
