Aims, contents and method of the course

The objective of the course is to inform, explain, analyze, interpret, and communicate the role of cartography and geo-information in early warning (EW) and crises management (CM) situations and the improvement of their use in adequate operations with the aim to show their up to now under-valued potentials and ways how to integrate the knowledge of the cartographic, geographic, and ICT communities to EW and CM into a wide decision making process.
