Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course explores several questions central to academic research and writing: what is scientific research? how does one "do" urban social science research? what methods can one use and how should one select them? These are addressed within the context of developing a research proposal for the master's thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment will be based on participation and several assignments related to developing the research proposal.
