Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the lecture is to give participants insight into multimedia-cartography. Not only theoretically and methodologically but also from a practical view with different "hands on" exercises.
New Media led to an expanded set of representation methods. These new visualization methodes, known as "Geo-Multimedia" will be discussed in particular. The most important of the topics covered are: interactivity, interfacedesign, animation, virtual reality and preparing content for the web.
