290050 VO Ökologie und Umwelt in den Alpen (2006W)

The alpine environment will be presented. The course gives an introduction to the geology, geomorphology and climate. In addition, main aspects are the distribution of soils and vegetation and their importance inside the complex geoecosystem of the Alpine regions. The relation between natural factors will be of special interest. The last chapter of the course is considering the anthropogenic impact on the environment of the Alpes.
