Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Based on the VO "Einführung in die Kartographie und Geoinformation I" it is the aim of this course to provide a basic insight into modern cartography and geoinformation. Taking into account ICT-specific aspects, the potential of appropriate media for GW teaching will be demonstrated. The most important terms, methods, concepts as well as structures of cartography and geoinformation will be conveyed, whereby both methodical and practical approaches will be discussed and implemented within the framework of practical work. After completing the courses, students should understand and master fundamental theoretical and methodical concepts and structures of cartography and geoinformation processing. This also includes, according to the special needs of a teacher training course, basic knowledge of the didactical framework as well as application security in the target-oriented use of modern geomedia and geocommunication in geography and economics.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Basics and knowledge from the following courses are required: VO Einführung in die Kartographie und Geoinformation I.Attendance is compulsory! A maximum of 3 hours may be missed. Otherwise, the course will be assessed as failed.
The grade is made up of 30% each of the programs submitted and 40% of the learning control of the teaching content.
For a positive assessment, a total of at least > 50% is required.
