Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The Bachelor Seminar looks at 8 selected current themes that deal with urban redevelopment projects. It aims at critically analyzing understanding issues and opportunities within urban redevelopment strategies at the local, city and metropolitan scales. Examples are spatial justice, built heritage, sustainability, tourism, etc.
Assessment and permitted materials
Each participant gives an oral PPT presentation (20-25 min.) in class at a specific date on one of the topic. Presentation is given in German or English.
Students provide feed-backs and participate to the discussion that follow the presentation.
Each participant writes a final seminar paper that takes into account the remarks provided during the feed-backs session and discussion.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Assessment: Oral presentation and discussion 40%, written seminar paper 60%.
Examination topics
Readings, enthusiastic presentations, engaged participation, critical thinking, creativity, writing are important elements to take into account for the evaluation.
