Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this lecture, theoretical concepts of urban research are addressed by implementing concrete research projects. Students will be guided to develop their own empirical work on current geographical research questions (development of research design and methodology, implementation, presentation of results) in small groups.
The general topic of the course (climate neutrality and resilience in different spatial and socio-economic contexts, sustainability, city and regional marketing) is conceptualized, operationalized and implemented together with the students using different empirical methods (mental maps, online surveys, document analysis, evaluation of secondary data).
The final presentation of results will take place in an interactive workshop format together with UE Humangeographie (Gruppe Lemke).
