Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course gives an overview of the European multi-level system of spatial planning and policies, of space-related EU Policies, of types of national planning systems and of processes of continuity and changes under the influence of Europeanization and globalization.

Assessment and permitted materials

Either (1) seminar paper (oral presentation and script) or (2) written examination at the end of the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students acquire knowledge about the issues addressed and are able to assess the political implications and spatial effects of the multi-level system of spatial planning and policies.

Examination topics

Lectures given by the instructor are combined with students’ presentations of seminar papers.
