Aims, contents and method of the course

During this course a preparation of the identical in the summer term 2008 planned excursion across W-Hungary, Slovenja and NE-Italy takes place. This excursion will be also a possibility for exchanges of students and lecturers regarding the Universities of Vienna, Ljubljana and Trieste. The focal points and central goals of the course are the following:
+ Regional Development and Transborder Cooperation on the SE-rim of the Alps (W-Hungary, Slovenja, NE-Italy).
+ The concept of landscapes of hope after DAVY 2004. Based on this concept future possibilities in landscape planning and regional development will be stressed.
+ Aspects of Behavioural and Regional Geography regarding the three austrian border countries Hungary, Slovenja and Italy.
