Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The objective of this course is to provide students with a thorough overview on how innovation and policy actions contribute to catching-up of Asian economies. Theoretical concepts, statistics and case studies will be presented throughout the course with the aim of stimulating students' reflections on the topic.

Assessment and permitted materials

Course paper, presentation and discussion, presence and contributions to the discussion in the classroom.

- Presentation and discussion (30%)
- Contribution to the discussions in the classroom (20 %)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

On completion of the course, the students will be able to think critically on the importance of innovation and policy measures in catching-up economies in Asia.
