Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course gives an overview about regional developments and the country's history. The main contends are: Slovak history, urban development, dominant role of Bratislava in the urban system, transformation of industries, ethnic and religious minorities, regional disparities, real estate market
Methods in this course are: analysis and discussion of main literature, independently work out of specific topics, presentation and final paper.

Assessment and permitted materials

Proactive participation on the course, contributes to discussions, presentation, submission of a final report.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements: completion of the proseminar, proacitve participation, final report, tasks on the field trip
Assessment criteria:
30% proactive participation
40% final report
30% presentation
