Aims, contents and method of the course

On the one hand, this seminar aims at analyzing systemic weaknesses of our capitalist economies. On the other hand, strategies and ways to an economic system will be discussed, which is overcoming these weaknesses and which is ecologically, economically and socially sustainable.
The specific issues which will be dealt with in this seminar are being determined by the content of the presentations which the participants have to prepare.

The method of the seminar is that every student has to prepare and present a speech of about half an hour, which will be followed by discussions.

Assessment and permitted materials

The seminar is "prüfungsimmanent", which means that the presentations, summary of presentations and contribution to the discussions form the basis for evaluation and the mark.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presence at the seminar according the rules for "prüfungsimmanente" courses.
Marking: presentation (including powerpoint-file): 80%; written and oral contributions to the seminar discussions: 20%
