Das Seminar wird digital (synchron und asynchron) durchgeführt. Bei entsprechender Möglichkeit wird der Abschlusstermin im Hörsaal stattfinden.
Neben den synchronen Terminen gibt es im Semester zwei Abgabetermine für Teilleistungen (23.4. und 21.5.) sowie einen Termin für die Erledigung des Peer-Feedbacks (7.6.).

Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In the seminar students will deal with contemporary discourses and challenges in regional development. Specifically current challenges of rural areas will be in the focus of the seminar. The seminar aims to trigger critical thinking and the understanding of spatial development and planning processes and its scope of action. Current developments such as multilocality and digitalization will be discussed in how far they hold ready chances and potentials for rural areas. The objective of the seminar is the preparation of students in independently writing academic texts and thesis.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participants will take up one topic, they will focus on during the seminar. With support of the teachers and peer feedback, they will create a problem statement and research question, prepare a presentation on their research topic and a seminar thesis.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants need to take part in the obligatory appointments and fullfill all assignments (expose, presentation, feedback, seminar thesis);
Assessment standards (grade represents a weighted average grad over all assignments):
85% elaboration of the topic (15% synopsis, 20% presentation, 50% seminar paper)
15% participation in discussion and peer feedback
