In this class, we will explore what climate change is, and learn about the international governance responses that have been set up to address it. We will apply a lens of climate justice to better navigate the power dimensions, understand who is the most vulnerable to the impacts of and the responses to climate change, and why that is the case. Using case studies, we will examine core concepts such as Loss and Damage, Adaptation, Just transitions, Climate colonialism and Climate activism.
