Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The excursion is intended to provide a critical understanding of the possibilities and limits of spatial planning strategies for action. Based on a specific case study (Hermagor region), current trends and challenges of rural areas will be dealt with and examined in more detail. The focus will be the guided working on specified challenges in small groups within the framework of a five-day excursion. In addition, various expert inputs from regional actors on site will provide an introduction to the current challenges. After completing the course, students will be able to deal independently with human geography and spatial planning issues, to design small research projects and to present the results in a professional manner. The emphasis lies on the consideration as well as the application of the already learned methods and concepts.
