Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course centres on timely themes related to regional planning, specifically regional planning in soft spaces, the importance of regions for sustainability and regional inequalities. Students will analyse a chosen subject from a theoretical or practical perspective. Knowledge will be obtained through lectures, guest lectures, discussion and independent scientific work.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students are assessed based on an oral presentation, a written paper and active participation in the course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Grades are based on the oral presentation (45%), the written paper (45%) and active participation (10%).
Examination topics
Students will develop a research question and work on the chosen subject individually. Research questions need to be viewed in their scientific context, operationalised and answered with scientific methods (empirically or theoretically). Results will be presented orally and in a written paper. In the course, students will develop a research outline, present their subject and write a seminar paper.
