Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives: Theoretical and practical introduction to procedures and methods of participative planning (spatial planning, regional planning) is given. Practical exercises during the courses should enable students to deepen their understanding. Students should be able to assess the possibilities and limitations of participative proceedings and planning.

Content: Techniques of presentation and moderation, professional process guidance, communication concepts.
Levels and examples: national, regional, local. Perspectives from neighbouring countries.

Methods: presentation and lecture, practical exercises, written group-report. Course with immanent examination character.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous personal participation, fullfilling ongoing practical exercises during courses (e.g. moderation), writing and presenting a final group-report according to the standards of good scientific standards.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Personal participation and practical exercises in the courses (40%), writing and presentation of a final report (60%).

Examination topics

Techniques of presentation and moderation (practical exercises in the course)
Procedures of participative planning at different planning-levels, examples of implementation (discussion in a final group-report)
