Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
During the course basic image processing steps (global and local grey scale value operations, filtering, geocoding, classification, segmentation, change detection), which are presented theoretical in the Wintersemester, are discussed and applied to satellite images. Various OpenSource applications and freely available satelit-data are used. The practical work is performed in small groups on PCs in the MM lab.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The final mark is composed as follows: cooperation (20% of final mark), presentation (20% of final mark) and project (60% of final mark).
