The preparatory seminary is to provide for an introduction into the excursion theme by the two guides as well as by students. Besides regional geographic surveys over the excursion route especially the main topics of the excursion are to be covered: historical roles of what is today Albania, cultural influences on the Albanians throughout history, the Albanian state and Albanian national identity, denominations in Albania, national and ethnic minorities in Albania, migration processes after the fall of Communism, state and development of the rural space, the situation of agriculture, tourism potential and tourism development, the situation in the Albanian-Greek borderlands, transborder relations, the Communist heritage, urban development of Tirana.
