Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The PSE focusses on the new paradigm of the EU regional policy for Rural Development and presents success factors between promise and implementation. The main characteristics and aims of the paradigm regarding the planning period 2007-2013 are inter alia: capacity building and working of local action groups, improving the attractiveness of rural regions, integrative approach regarding the diversity of rural economies, increasing the potential of rural social capital, multi level governance, improving the funding system.

Based on this paradigmatic background the central goal of the students work is to create - on the example of a study area - a regional design of success factors for the future rural development.
