Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course addresses the complexity of sustainable urban development by taking environmental-social-technical interactions at district-level into account. Challenges to be considered are among others climate, demographic, and digital change. These challenges raise the question how integrated development and planning approaches can and in practice do address the complexity and balance between the requirements of urban sustainability. Critical reflections will be based on the work with indicators.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This course requires a minimum of 80% attendance and the positive evaluation of all assignments.
