Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
No other region of the world has been attracting the interest of politicians, researchers of various scientific disciplines and of the international mass media as strongly as the MENA-Region (Northern Africa and Near East) during the last decades. The reasons therefore are manifold and range from the fascination with the rich history of the region, from ecological problems (availability of water etc.), economic matters (oil) to processes of demographic change and social transformations and especially the events which have occurred in the wake of the so-called Arab Spring".
