Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The Chao Phraya River, which has its sources in the hills of North of Thailand and its estuary at the Gulf of Thailand, is the biggest and most important river of the country. Its basin encompasses one third of Thailand's total land surface and is home for more than 20 million people. Traditionally, this region has been the centre of Thailand's economic and social development processes. This is particularly the case for the conflict-ridden relationship between human and the environment. The seminars aims to prepare the participants of the excursion with regard to relevant issues and concepts through the preparation of written essays, oral presentation and exercises.
