Aims, contents and method of the course

The participants will obtain a well-founded overview of the current questions, results, and challenges in the international research on natural hazards and georisks. Even though the course is a lecture in principle, it will be attempted to convey the content as much as possible in an interactive way through methods such as role plays, group exercises and activity games during the lessons.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam. The first exam will take place in the last lesson on 28 January 2019. Further exam dates will be organized according to the need.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of more than 50% of the subject matter of the exam, which yields a maximum of 20 points:

20.0-18.0 points: 1
17.5-15.5 points: 2
15.0-13.0 points: 3
12.5-10.5 points: 4
10.0-00.0 points: 5
