This requires understanding of basic geometric, mathematic and optical aspects such as digital metric images, photogrammetric normal case and orientation methods of aerial images as well as of block adjustment through aerial triangulation.
Properties and functional principles of imaging sensors and current data acquisition methods like digital aerial imaging and airborne laserscanning will be discussed. Why have UAVs (‘Drones’) recently established and under what circumstances is should they be deployed?
Beyond that important topics focus on flight planning and relevant parameters, production of orthophotos and digital elevation models.
The lecture is supplemented by real-life application examples.
