Aims, contents and method of the course
This course will first cover the evolution of key concepts and methodogies in physical geography. It will explore the various branches of the subject, as they exist today, in terms of their aims an approach.The application of physical geography to various issues such as environmental management, natural heritage, the determination of hazard and risk and global change will be discussed. Key advances in the subject will be identified and students will have the opportunity to select some of these for independent research and presentiation, in class
