Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

"Global Environmental Change", "Global Change" or "Climate Change" are frequently used catchwords in many media and scientific publications. A serious discussion and definition is mostly limited to some scientific essays. The main objective of this seminar is to show, analyse, and assess direct and indirect impacts (e.g. natural hazards, resources) on geosystems at different scales and complexity (e.g. ecosystems, climate system, fluvial system, glacial system). Of particular interest is the sensitivity of singular system components in the context of global change and the role of human impacts.
