Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives:

This course enables students to understand the integrated processes of designing and conducting quantitative survey within research projects. By means of exercises and simulation, problems within the design of survey samples, the construction of data collection instruments and the management of survey projects will be discussed. Emphasis will be laid on the main sources of error in the survey process and ways of detecting, controlling and minimising such errors, on the statistical design and sampling, as well as on the instrument design and question formulation.
