Starting with the climate system the students should be made familiar with the basic concepts of climate. This encompasses the discussion of the frame within climate evolves and a simplified description of selected processes. Based on that, different possibilities to visualize climate will also be shown as different ways to classify it. For the written exam there will be lecture notes available at the end of the semester.
