Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim is to provide a basic insight into modern cartography and the broad spectrum of geographic information processing and to show their potential for GW teaching. The most important terms, methods, concepts as well as structures of cartography and geoinformation are taught, with both methodological and practical approaches being discussed or implemented in the context of practical work. After completing the courses, the students should understand and master fundamental theoretical and methodological concepts and structures of cartography and geoinformation processing. This also includes, in accordance with the special needs of a teacher training program, basic knowledge of school cartography and its didactic framework conditions as well as application security in the targeted use of modern geomedia in geography and economics lessons.
Assessment and permitted materials
exercises, semester project in small groups, presentations, participation and written / oral questions on the content of the preliminary units, examination at the end of the semester
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Basics and knowledge from the following courses are required:
