Aims, contents and method of the course

In the framework of an integrative analysis, approaches of ecosystem theories shall be defined and discussed in detail in relation to characteristic ecosystems. The course considers mainly selforganising mechanisms of specific ecosystems and furthermore, functional-structural interconnections. On the base of theoretical concepts, conservation strategies of selected conservation areas are presented and environmental indicators are evaluated.
