Contents: This lecture focuses on the interaction between open space planning and tourism and the creative application of open space elements. For this purpose, real examples from practice are introduced and insight is given into the design of thematic walks, open air baths, parks and into the production and structuring of adventure worlds. It will be reported on open space planning concepts for national parks and biosphere parks as well as on open space planning in the designing of settlements and squares.
Methodologies and assessment: Lecture with exercises under involvement of one guest lecturer and with the students taking part in a practical work; assessment is based on an oral presentation and a written report on the results of the practical exercise as well as on the wider understanding of the questions of open space planning in the context with the practical example.
