Aims, contents and method of the course
The aims of this seminar are threefold: first, to offer an introduction into selected key research themes in economic geography and human geography through a lecture by the course instructor; second, to provide PhD students with critical feedback to the conceptual framework, methodology and empirical analyses of their PhD research activities; and, third, to discuss key literatures of relevance to their PhD theses in human / economic geography.The seminar will be given in English!
Assessment and permitted materials
All participants will have to present their planned dissertation project, or a chapter of the thesis, or a draft version of a paper that will be part of the cumulative thesis. Furthermore all participants will have to discuss important book chapters or articles, which are relevant for their theses.

Participation in discussions (30%)
