Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar with field work deals with the whole complex of agro-ecology in an oasis. We will analyze the quality of the soils, the hydrological basis (irrigation water) and the specific meso- and micro-climatic conditions of an oasis. But also the influence of the intensity of the land use on the distribution of wild herbs will be studied. Selected soil and water samples will be analyzed in the laboratory. The theoretical part of the course is the preparation of the field campaign. Specific topics will be discussed, maps, aerial photos and satellite images interpreted.
