Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

- To understand the importance of measuring and monitoring greenhouse gases (GHG)
- To get practical experience of taking GHG measurements using closed chamber techniques
- To work with eddy covariance tower GHG data

The course will be taught through lectures, practical classes and a field excursion to nearby GHG measurement stations. You will gain practical experience of working on GHG measurements and data, and we hope that you will gain ideas for your final thesis.

Assessment and permitted materials

Short scientific paper written in English based on your practical class measurements of GHGs, participation

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Understanding of methods of GHG measurement, associated challenges and limitations of such methods, and how implications for wider carbon cycling research
