Aims, contents and method of the course
Different research areas of remote sensing will be introduced to the students (e.g. Climate Change Modeling, Crowdsourcing, Land cover mapping....). Further, this course will inform the participants about current and new reaseach fields. In addition to this, the students are able to participate in various workshops offered within the AGIT/GI Forum conference.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The overall aim of this course is to provide an insight into the various fields of remote sensing.
Examination topics
Different organisations will be visited; among others, IIASA, iSpace, Geoville and Salzburg University. Further, the participants will attent the international AGIT/GI Forum conference in Salzburg (see http://www.agit.at/ and http://www.gi-forum.org/ for further information).

Literature will be provided by instructer and be distributed via Moodle.
