Student have deepened their human- and physical geographical knowledge on the topics of flight and asylum in Austria including aspects, such as arrival, basic service, access to education, border, etc. ).Content:
The excursion focuses on the topics of flight and asylum through the political, cultural and physical geographical perspectives. Additionally the situation of people with migrational background and asylumseekers in Austria will be highlighted.Method:
During the excursion we will visit different organizational institutions revolving around the subject of flight and asylum in Austria (around Vienna, Leoben and Graz). There, we will have expert lectures and interviews with responsibles of federal and state governed institutions, executives, NGOs, social stakeholders, economics and affected asylumseekers.
